Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The three major indices sit near session highs. The S&P 500 trades about 10 points higher. 

There's not a lot of conviction in the market following a big run for equities of late. Market breadth reflects mixed action under the index surface. Advancers have a 3-to-2 lead over decliners at the NYSE and decliners have an 11-to-10 lead over advancers at the Nasdaq. 

Mixed action in the mega cap space has contributed to lackluster action in the major indices. Apple (AAPL 227.92, -0.26, -0.1%) and Microsoft (MSFT 434.38, -0.89, -0.2%) are among the losing standouts while Meta Platforms (META 568.42, +7.07, +1.3%), Alphabet (GOOG 165.10, +0.45, +0.3%), and others trade higher.
