[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.5%) and Nasdaq Composite (-0.7%) are near session lows.
Downside moves coincided with some mega cap names turning lower, either extending opening losses or falling below prior closing levels. Meta Platforms (META 558.86, -0.24, -0.04%) is a standout in that respect after trading up as much as 0.9%.
Only one S&P 500 sector trades up now -- utilities (+1.6%) -- while the remaining ten sectors show losses ranging from 0.1% (communication services) to 1.0% (materials).
