Rate-sensitive sectors outperform, info tech lags
Dow -355.16 at 40474.43, Nasdaq -43.56 at 16841.02, S&P -20.56 at 5450.49

[BRIEFING.COM] The major indices trade off session lows. The S&P 500 is down 20 points, or 0.4%.

The rate-sensitive real estate (+0.8%) and utilities (+0.7%) sectors have benefitted from the move in Treasuries while eight sectors trade lower. The information technology sector shows a 0.1% decline due to losses in some heavily-weighted components. NVIDIA (NVDA 105.46, -1.01, -1.0%) joined Apple (AAPL 218.49, -2.40, -1.1%) in negative territory.

Gains in Microsoft (MSFT 409.59, +4.05, +1.0%) and Broadcom (AVGO 144.59, +3.74, +2.7%) have provided some offsetting support.
