[BRIEFING.COM] The major indices moved slightly lower over the last half hour, but maintained solid gains. Also, market breadth reflects a strong positive bias under the surface.
Advancers lead decliners by a nearly 10-to-1 margin at the NYSE and a nearly 4-to-1 margin at the Nasdaq.
Mega caps and semiconductor shares are in a leadership position thus far. The PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) sports a 2.0% gain and the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (MGK) shows a 0.7% gain.
