[BRIEFING.COM] The market has exhibited somewhat chopped action at the index level thus far. The S&P 500 has only moved about 17 points, though, between its intraday high and intraday low.
Losses in some mega cap names like Microsoft (MSFT 424.35, -0.52, -0.1%), Broadcom (AVGO 163.92, -2.02, -1.2%), Eli Lilly (LLY 942.11, -7.74, -0.8%), Alphabet (GOOG 168.11, -0.83, -0.5%), Tesla (TSLA 220.91, -0.19, -0.1%) have limited index gains slightly.
Only two S&P 500 sectors remain in negative territory -- real estate (-0.3%) and financials (-0.3%) -- while the consumer discretionary sector continues to outperform, trading 1.0% higher.
