[BRIEFING.COM] Stocks moved slightly lower, but the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 maintained positive positions.
Only three S&P 500 sectors trade lower led by communication services (-1.2%) followed by consumer discretionary (-0.6%) and materials (-0.5%). The remaining eight sectors show gains ranging from 0.1% (industrial) to 0.9% (financials).
Separately, small cap stocks are underperforming the broader market. The Russell 2000 is down 0.4%.
