Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.1%) and Dow Jones Industrial Average (+0.2%) are back in positive territory.

Market breadth still reflects mixed action under the index surface. Advancers have an 11-to-10 lead decliners at the NYSE and decliners lead advancers by a 5-to-3 margin at the Nasdaq.

Some mega cap stocks have recovered from early losses. Alphabet (GOOG 160.20, -5.72, -3.4%) is not among them, trading sharply lower on reports of a potential breakup by the DOJ following a court ruling.

NVIDIA (NVDA 117.08, +0.97, +0.9%), which was trading down as much as 1.8%, and Microsoft (MSFT 414.99, +0.94, +0.2%), which was down as much as 0.3%, are standouts from the mega cap space.
