[BRIEFING.COM] The market moved in a sharp ascent in recent trading. Small cap stocks are participating, too, leading the Russell 2000 to trade up 2.1%.
Regional bank stocks and energy shares have contributed to the outperformance in the small cap index.
This price action has also boosted the SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF (KRE), which sports a 3.0% gain.
