[BRIEFING.COM] The major indices are little changed over the last half hour. The S&P 500 sports a 1.0% decline while the equal-weighted S&P 500 trades flat.
Losses in the semiconductor space continue to weigh on index performance and weigh on the S&P 500 information technology sector, which shows a 3.2% decline. The price action in Apple (AAPL 227.60, -7.24, -3.1%) and Microsoft (MSFT 441.07, -8.45, -1.9%) have also contributed to the info tech sector's performance.
On the flip side, the real estate sector shows the largest gain so far, up 1.2%.
