Only three S&P 500 sectors trade lower. The utilities sector (-1.9%) is the worst performer by a wide margin followed by the health care (-0.2%) and consumer staples (-0.1%) sectors.
The energy sector leads the pack, up 2.2%, followed by the heavily-weighted financial sector (+1.4%) amid ongoing buying in bank stocks.
