Upside moves in recent action coincided with many stocks building on gains. Four of the S&P 500 sectors are trading up 1.0% or more and the equal-weighted S&P 500 sports a 1.1% gain.
Market breadth also reflects robust buying activity. Advancers have a 4-to-1 lead over decliners at the NYSE and a 3-to-1 lead at the Nasdaq.
