[BRIEFING.COM] The major indices are trading near session highs. The S&P 500 ran into some resistance at the 5,600 level, reaching 5,599 at its high.
Only two S&P 500 sectors remain in negative territory -- real estate (-0.3%) and financials (-0.2%) -- while the information technology (+0.8%) and communication services (+0.4%) sectors show some of the largest gains.
Separately, oil prices are climbing today. WTI crude oil futures are up 1.4% to $82.55/bbl.
