A look inside the DJIA shows that Merck (MRK 128.09, +4.29, +3.47%), Apple (AAPL 217.29, +6.67, +3.17%) and Boeing (BA 186.32, +4.31, +2.37%) are outperforming to begin the holiday-shortened week.
Meanwhile, UnitedHealth (UNH 495.59, -13.67, -2.68%) is today's top laggard.
The DJIA is now about -2.2% off the late-May highs.
