Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The market hit a slight air pocket recently, turning sharply lower before bouncing back. Even with the this recent action, the major indices have traded in narrow ranges through the session so far. The S&P 500 has moved about 15 points from its intraday high and low.

The recent downside moves coincided with NVIDIA (NVDA 123.29, -2.82, -2.3%) turning negative. Shares had been up as much as 1.6%.

Only one of the S&P 500 sectors trades higher now -- consumer discretionary (+1.1%) -- while nine sectors sport losses ranging from 0.1% (real estate) to 1.2% (energy).
