[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite are moving in a lateral flow while the Dow Jones Industrial Average hits new session lows.

Outsized moves have been reserved for individual stocks with specific catalysts. Carnival (CCL 17.48, +1.10, +6.7%) leads S&P 500 components after reporting better than expected earnings and revenue, along with above-consensus guidance.

Other cruise line stocks are higher in sympathy. Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH 18.18, +0.79, +4.5%) and Royal Caribbean (RCL 160.76, +6.24, +4.0%) are also among the top performing stocks in the S&P 500 today.

Meanwhile, Pool (POOL 310.56, -27.36, -8.1%) shows the largest decline among S&P 500 stocks after cutting FY24 guidance.
