Semiconductor stocks weigh on info tech sector

[BRIEFING.COM] The Nasdaq Composite turned lower while the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average trade near their best levels of the session.
Five of the S&P 500 sectors trade at least 1.0% higher. The energy (+1.8%), financial (+1.2%), and utilities (+1.1%) sectors show the largest gains.
The information technology sector remains in negative territory, down 0.8% from Friday. Losses in its semiconductor-related components have weighed on the sector's performance.
On a related note, the PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) is down 1.5% with nearly every component sporting a loss.
