[BRIEFING.COM] The three major indices trade near their best levels, albeit still sporting losses ranging from 0.1% to 0.3%.

Adobe (ADBE 525.25, +65.88, +14.4%) is the best performing stock in the S&P 500 today, boosting the information technology sector (+0.6%). Meanwhile, some cruise line names are among the worst performing stocks in the index. Carnival (CCL 15.18, -1.34, -8.1%), Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH 16.50, -1.40, -7.8%), and Royal Caribbean (RCL 146.69, -8.59, -5.5%) are standouts in that respect.

Losses in cruise line stocks have contributed to the underperformance of the consumer discretionary sector (-1.0%).
