Dow drops 450 points but outperforms major averages amid broad market declines

[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (-1.06%) is down about 450 points yet somehow is the "best" performing major average today, more aggressive losses being had elsewhere.
A look inside the DJIA shows that NVIDIA (NVDA 136.09, -3.84, -2.74%), Microsoft (MSFT 428.19, -9.92, -2.26%), and Amazon (AMZN 222.48, -4.57, -2.01%) are underperforming.
Meanwhile, Boeing (BA 180.80, +0.42, +0.23%) is today's only constituent in the green.
Even with today's steep losses the DJIA is poised to end the week up +0.07%.
Elsewhere, at the top of the hour, Baker Hughes (BKR 40.61, -0.27, -0.66%) announced a weekly U.S. rotary rig count of 589, flat for a third week in a row and -33 yr/yr.
