Dow Jones edges ahead of S&P 500 as Goldman Sachs, AmEx lead gains; Nike lags

[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (+1.48%) holds a narrow lead over the S&P 500 (+1.41%) in the latter stages of Friday's session.
A look inside the DJIA shows that Goldman Sachs (GS 567.81, +13.82, +2.49%), American Express (AXP 299.60, +6.52, +2.22%) and Amgen (AMGN 266.76, +5.57, +2.13%) are outperforming.
Meanwhile, Nike (NKE 76.56, -0.54, -0.7%) slips in the standings.
The DJIA is now on pace to trim weekly losses to under -2%.
Elsewhere, at the top of the hour, Baker Hughes (BKR 40.22, +0.42, +1.06%) announced a weekly U.S. rotary rig count of 589, flat w/w and -31 yr/yr.
