[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average trades near its prior close while the Nasdaq Composite (+1.3%) and S&P 500 (+0.7%) trade higher.
Gains in mega cap stocks and chipmakers have extended index gains, but many stocks have participated in side moves. The equal-weighted S&P 500 sports a 0.2% gain.
Apple (AAPL 249.70, +1.92, +0.8%), Amazon.com (AMZN 230.16, +5.11, +2.3%), Alphabet (GOOG 193.60, +7.07, +3.8%), Meta Platforms (META 634.19, +14.87, +2.4%), and Tesla (TSLA 447.64, +4.31, +1.0%) are standouts from the mega cap space, reaching fresh 52-week highs today.
The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (MGK) trade 1.2% higher and the PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) sports a 1.6% gain.
