Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] There hasn't been much up or down action at the index level in recent trading. Advancers lead decliners by a nearly 3-to-1 margin at the NYSE and by a 2-to-1 margin at the Nasdaq.

Many mega cap names are showing nice gains. NVIDIA (NVDA 139.97, +3.92, +2.9%), Microsoft (MSFT 414.44, +6.01, +1.5%), Apple (AAPL 223.31, +1.30, +0.6%), Amazon.com (AMZN 198.83, +3.08, +1.6%), and Tesla (TSLA 252.74, +9.90, +4.1%) are standouts in that respect. 

Gains in the aforementioned names have boosted their respective S&P 500 sectors. The consumer discretionary and information technology sector each trade 1.5% higher than yesterday.
