Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The major indices moved mostly sideways over the last half hour.

Semiconductor stocks are showing some strength today, leading the PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) to trade 1.1% higher. NVIDIA (NVDA 137.38, -4.56, -3.2%) has been left out of upside ride due to some profit-taking activity. NVDA shares are still 177.6% higher this year. 

Other mega caps are also sitting on huge gains since the start of the year. Meta Platforms (META 563.46, +4.32, +0.7%), which is 59.2% higher, and Tesla (TSLA 350.08, -2.47, -0.7%), which is 40.8% higher, are standouts in that respect.
