Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The three major indices have moved off session lows. The Nasdaq Composite, which was down as much as 1.4% earlier, shows a 0.4% decline now. The Dow Jones Industrial Average briefly traded higher than its prior close. 

Market breadth is still negative, but margins have narrowed compared to earlier in the session. Shortly after the open, decliners led advancers by a roughly 2-to-1 margin at the NYSE and at the Nasdaq. Now, decliners lead advancers by a 3-to-2 margin at the NYSE and by a 4-to-3 margin at the Nasdaq.

The Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP) trades fractionally lower.
