[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (-0.10%) is near the middle of today's range, continuing to hold modest losses.
A look inside the DJIA shows that Amazon (AMZN 201.37, -3.24, -1.58%), Visa (V 307.00, -4.85, -1.56%), and Home Depot (HD 401.04, -5.76, -1.42%) are underperforming.
Meanwhile, Amgen (AMGN 285.17, +5.22, +1.86%) is one of today's top gain getters.
The DJIA is down about -0.51% thus far this week.
Elsewhere, it was not a good showing at the $16 billion 20-yr bond auction, which saw weak demand, evidenced by a high yield of 4.680% that tailed the when-issued yield by three basis points and a 2.34 bid-to-cover ratio that was well below the prior 12-auction average of 2.60. Yields have moved up slightly across the curve in the wake of the results, but stocks have had a muted response.
