[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (-0.3%) trades below its prior close, but the Russell 2000 (+0.3%) has joined the S&P 500 (+0.1%) and Nasdaq Composite (+0.5%) in positive territory.
Market breadth is still negative, but margins have narrowed compared to earlier in the session. Shortly after the open, decliners led advancers by a 2-to-1 margin at the NYSE and by a 4-to-3 margin at the Nasdaq. Now, decliners lead advancers by an 11-to-10 margin at the NYSE and at the Nasdaq.
The Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP) shows a 0.2% decline.
