[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.4%) and Nasdaq Composite (+0.8%) moved higher over the last half hour, benefitting from some buy-the-dip interest.
Many stocks participated in upside moves, leading the equal-weighted S&P 500 to trade 0.4% higher. Also, nine of the S&P 500 sectors trade higher while the remaining two sectors trade near their prior closing levels. The consumer discretionary sector continues to lead the pack, up 1.5%, followed by the communication services sector (+0.9%).
Stocks haven't been deterred by rising market rates. The 10-yr yield is at 4.45% and the 2-yr yield is at 4.32%.
