[BRIEFING.COM] The three major indices reached fresh session highs in recent trading.
The heavily-weighted financial sector (+0.5%) is among the top performers in the S&P 500. JPMorgan Chase (JPM 212.57, +1.82, +0.9%), Blackrock (BLK 954.71, +5.64, +0.6%), and BNY Mellon (BK 73.70, +0.50, +0.7%) trade higher in front of their earnings reports Friday morning. Wells Fargo (WFC 57.22, -0.07, -0.1%), which also reports earnings on Friday morning, has traded near its prior close.
The SPDR S&P Bank ETF (KBE) sports a 1.0% gain and the SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF (KRE) shows a 1.2% gain.
