[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-1.3%) and Nasdaq Composite (-2.1%) trade near session lows. Mega cap stocks extended opening losses over the last half hour.
Market breadth reflects a solid negative bias under the surface. Decliners lead advancers by a 2-to-1 margin at the NYSE and by a 5-to-1 margin at the Nasdaq.
Separately, the weekly EIA Natural Gas Inventories showed a build of 78 bcf after last week's build of 80 bcf. Natural gas futures are 3.3% lower at $2.75/mmbtu.
