Gains in some mega cap names have limited downside moves for the S&P 500. Microsoft (MSFT 427.20, +8.42, +2.0%), Amazon.com (AMZN 190.20, +1.13, +0.5%), Alphabet (GOOG 166.65, +0.82, +0.5%), Meta Platforms (META 579.37, +4.21, +0.7%), and Eli Lilly (LLY 908.53, +2.40, +0.3%) are standouts in that respect.
Semiconductor stocks continue to lag the broader market. The PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) sports a 0.8% decline.
