Chipmakers are staging a slight recovery today. The PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) shows a 0.6% gain today after slumping 5.3% yesterday. Broadcom (AVGO 176.90, +0.92, +0.5%) and NVIDIA (NVDA 133.94, +2.33, +1.8%) are winning standouts from the space.
ASML (ASML 689.05, -41.78, -5.7%) has extended yesterday's loss after its disappointing Q3 earnings report and ugly-looking net bookings number.
