[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.7%) and Dow Jones Industrial Average (+0.4%) are near session highs.
Shares of Boeing (BA 149.94, -1.08, -0.7%) continue to limit upside moves for the DJIA, but BA has moved off session lows as the broader market climbed. Shares had been down as much as 3.3% at their session low. The losses follow a warning of a Q3 revenue shortfall and announcing a workforce reduction.
Caterpillar (CAT 395.48, -6.54, -1.6%) is another laggard in the DJIA after being downgraded to Underweight from Equal Weight at Morgan Stanley.
