Our Commodities Trader combines detailed fundamental analysis with technical analysis to identify compelling setups throughout the commodities sector. With DRYS, he captured gains of as much as 49% in one day by recognizing that Short sellers were not giving appropriate credit to the near-term catalysts that were propelling dry bulk shipping stocks (namely that the pricing index for shipping rates was rallying in anticipation of increased raw material demand based on Trump’s plan for increased infrastructure spending).

Ask here is $11.84
NOTE: Please remember that this is a spec play, so it's much more volatile/risky than your average trade I may add one to this
Placing stop at $9 for now

CMDTY Commodities Trader: DRYS Long Position Update- CLOSING OUT (17.60 +5.70)
I'm closing the last 1/3 of my DRYS long here for +$5.76 or +49%
DRYS and peers will remain on my long radar of course given the recent variable that gave the space this momentum (broad market strength, especially following election, strong gains recently in the daily drybulk day rates, especially in capesize ships, all of which help build a nice short squeeze and some real momentum)
