In trade news, President Trump tweeted on Saturday that he had a "long and very good call" with China's President Xi Jinping, adding that "big progress" is being made. The U.S. plans to send a delegation to China next week for trade talks.
In corporate news, Amazon (AMZN 1508.50, +30.48, +2.1%) is a notable gainer in pre-market trading amid news that the company is planning to build and expand Whole Foods stores across the U.S., according to the WSJ.
