Reports are out that Carl Icahn has accumulated a stake in Sandridge Energy (SD) and is reportedly against the proposed acquisition of Bonanza Creek Energy (BCEI).
Earlier this morning, the EIA did release its weekly oil storage data.
The EIA reports that for the week ending Nov 17th:
- Crude oil inventories had a draw of 1.9 mln barrels
- Gasoline inventories were unchanged
- Distillate inventories had a draw of 0.3 mln barrels
- Today, Dec crude oil settled $1.15 higher at $57.98/barrel
