Meanwhile, drug manufacturer Johnson & Johnson (JNJ 168.76, -1.91, -1.12%) is today's worst laggard.
The DJIA is now up about +2.19% week-to-date.
Elsewhere, at the top of the hour, the Treasury's $21 bln 30-year note auction drew a high yield of 3.106% on a bid-to-cover of 2.31.
