Gold climbs as dollar's weekly losses stack up
Dow -60.69 at 28329.43, Nasdaq +8.63 at 11899.49, S&P +0.33 at 3510.92

[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages have jostled around a bit in the last half hour, though still stand largely split on the day. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (+0.07%) still holds a narrow lead.

Gold futures settled $4.90 higher (+0.3%) to $1,951.70/oz, earning a +3.8% weekly advance, to cap off its best weekly move since July; this was juxtaposed against a falling dollar which in the midst of its worst weekly declines since March.

The U.S. Dollar Index slips about -0.3% to $92.24.
