DLTH +18%, FDX -4%, NKE -1.3% following earnings/guidance
Investors attempted to make the most out of some positive overnight developments on Tuesday morning, but a modest gain at the opening bell was the straw that broke the back of a stock market that may have extended itself a little too far. The major averages finished their worst day of 2017 solidly lower with the Nasdaq (-1.8%) leading the retreat.

The S&P 500 settled lower by 1.2%, marking the first time since October that the index closed with a loss of more than 1.0%. That streak is the longest since 1995.

Today after the close the following companies are scheduled to report earnings: ATTO, SLW, HQY, DLTH, FDX, NKE, SCS, AIR.

Futures are modestly higher after hours: S&P 500 futures are +0.50 from the fair value of 2,340 and Nasdaq100 futures are +1.62 from the fair value of 5,334.

Tomorrow morning, economic reports scheduled to be released include: MBA Mortgage Index (07:00 ET; Briefing.com consensus NA), FHFA Housing Price Index (09:00 ET; Briefing.com consensus NA).

Tomorrow before the open the following companies are scheduled to report earnings: AYA, PERY, EVLV, QIWI, GOLF, ATU, WGO.
