[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages are consolidating their moves in the final hours of action on Friday with the S&P 500 up less than two points.
S&P 500 constituents Mettler-Toledo (MTD 1,189.53, +85.79, +7.77%), Albemarle (ALB 111.72, +6.22, +5.90%), and Take-Two (TTWO 175.78, +7.10, +4.21%) pepper the top of the index. MTD (out last night) & ALB (out Wednesday afternoon) climb following earnings, while TTWO's Q2 print from last night, as well as some acquisition news involving TTWO as the suitor of UK-based game publisher Codemasters, moves that stock higher.
Conversely, Flowserve (FLS 29.01, -2.61, -8.25%) bumps up against its 50-day SMA (28.82), dragging on the index following last night's Q3 report which showed bookings were pressured (-22% yr/yr), essentially flat from Q2 levels.
