[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages continued to lift higher in the last half hour with the Dow Jones Industrial Average now up 5.17%.

A look inside the Dow Jones Industrial Average Boeing (BA 167.23, +39.55, +30.98%), Nike (NKE 82.77, +10.44, +14.43%), and UnitedHealth (UNH 238.66, +18.86, +8.58%) are outperforming. Government bailout reports and activist rumors are propping up shares of Boeing today, while Nike gains on last night's earnings report, and UnitedHealth benefits from broader gains across the health care space.

The DJIA now stands 19.56% off Monday's lows.

Elsewhere, at the top of the hour, the Treasury's $41 bln 5-year note auction drew a high yield of 0.535% on a bid-to-cover of 2.53.
