A look inside the S&P 500 shows that names like Whirlpool (WHR 156.96, +8.73, +5.89%), PulteGroup (PHM 46.98, +2.68, +6.05%), and Xerox (XRX 37.02, +1.97, +5.62%) are outperforming. All three of these names reported corporate earnings in the last 24 hours.
Conversely, auto parts manufacturer BorgWarner (BWA 35.58, -2.78, -7.25)% sits at the bottom of the index. This morning, BWA confirmed the all-stock acquisition of UK-based auto parts peer Delphi (DLPH 15.83, +6.03, +61.53%), reported preliminary FY19 sales, and initiated 2020 full-year guidance.
