[BRIEFING.COM] The major indices begin the Christmas Eve session little changed, with the S&P 500 (unch), Dow Jones Industrial Average (unch), and Nasdaq Composite (unch) trading near their flat lines.
Looking at the S&P 500 sectors shows the energy sector (+0.4%) extending its 6% monthly advance, while the health care sector (-0.3%) sits at the bottom of the pack with a modest intraday decline.
U.S. Treasuries are also little changed. The 2-yr yield is up one basis point to 1.66%, and the 10-yr yield is unchanged at 1.94%. The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.1% to 97.72. WTI crude is up 0.6% to $60.88/bbl.
