The Vita Coco Company (COCO) traded to a new all-time high today. This coconut water beverage company seems to be catching on with consumers and investors. COCO owns a family of brands focused on healthy, nutritious, and great-tasting products. This includes its flagship coconut water brand, Vita Coco, and protein-infused water, PWR LIFT.
The stock has made a nice move over the past year or so as investors come around to understand its story and the potential for the coconut water industry. COCO notes that the coconut water category continues to be one of the fastest growing categories in the beverage aisle, driven by increased household penetration and new consumption occasions.
Bigger picture, COCO believes the coconut water category is in the very early stages of gaining mainstream appeal on a global level. Coconut water looks to be transitioning from niche to mainstream, and COCO is at the forefront of that trend. If COCO can continue current penetration and consumption gains, it's confident that coconut water will one day be as large as some of the major beverage categories across the beverage aisle.
The stock gapped higher on an impressive Q1 report in late April and ahs been adding to those gains since.
