Briefing Research is:
We concentrate on macro, thematic, and nonconsensus research that is rooted in
fundamental analysis and is tailored to meet the needs of the institutional
marketplace. Our mission is to assist our clients with the research process
to condense the flood of fundamental data into a visible trend to help inform
their investment decisions.
|
|
Our Philosophy |
|
Briefing Research promotes independent thinking that is reinforced with
data-driven research. Our analysis is unbiased, because we do not have any
third-party conflicts. We serve one constituency – our clients – and have
one objective in mind in doing so: generating actionable investment ideas
with thought-provoking analysis of long-term investment trends and nonconsensus views.
|
|
Our Methodology |
|
Think of Briefing Research as a true “briefing” – concise, meaningful,
based upon data – and all designed to make our clients more profitable decision makers.
We seek to identify long-term investment themes that will have an impact across multiple
industries and markets. We do this by mining data sources, drilling beneath the headlines,
and questioning conventional wisdom.
We recognize that seemingly small ideas often have a way of shifting the perspective on a
larger theme. Knowing this, we follow trends with an eye for determining if the market is making
too much of them, or too little, as they relate to our investment themes.
At the same time, we study emerging trends that could potentially give birth to new investment
ideas. Consequently, we embrace thinking that is outside the mainstream and consider carefully
the ramifications if such thinking becomes a stronger current for driving the market, a
particular industry, and/or an asset class.
