JB Hunt Transport Services (JBHT $58.90 +4.11) reported third quarter earnings of $0.65 per share, $0.01 worse than the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate of $0.66. Revenues rose 10.7% year over year to $1.3 billion versus the $1.28 billion consensus. Load growth of 15% in Intermodal (JBI) and 38% in Integrated Capacity Solutions (ICS) helped drive 15% and 30% increases in segment revenue, respectively. Dedicated Contract Services (DCS) segment increased operating revenue by only 1% primarily driven by the start up of new accounts occurring later than expected, while Truck (JBT) segment revenue declined primarily due to operating approximately 9% fewer trucks. Current quarter total operating revenue, excluding fuel surcharges, increased 10.5% versus the comparable quarter in 2011. The company did not purchase any shares of common stock during the quarter.
