Allstate Tops Second Quarter Expectations
Allstate (ALL $28.25 +0.53) reported second quarter earnings of
($1.23) per share, $0.32 better than the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate of
($1.55).
Revenues fell 0.9% year/year to $6.46 billion versus the $6.51 billion
consensus.
Book value per share increased 8% year/year to 35.95 from $33.24. Additionally,
co states underlying Property-Liability combined ratio stood at 88.7 for the
first six months of 2011, within company's full-year guidance range of 88-91.
