Acme Packet spikes after news that Oracle (ORCL) will buy the company
Acme Packet (APKT $23.93) to be acquired by Oracle (ORCL) for $29.25 per share, or approximately $1.7 bln, net of Acme Packet's cash. ORCL announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire APKT for $29.25 per share or approximately $1.7 bln, net of Acme Packet's cash.

The Board of Directors of Acme Packet has unanimously approved the transaction. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2013.
