ClearStation To Give Online Investors "The Right Edge"
News and Commentary Complements Popular Technical Analysis and
Community Resources Available on one of the Web's
Fastest-Growing Investment Sites
SAN FRANCISCO, March 8, 1999 — ClearStation, the intelligent investment community, today announced partnerships with MarketWatch.com (NASDAQ: MKTW), TheStreet.com and Briefing.com to bring financial market news and commentary to ClearStation’s growing audience of online investors. The partners’ market coverage is featured in a new ClearStation site offering called "The Right Edge."
The Right Edge provides ClearStation users with daily market updates and analysis, as well as stock tips from ClearStation’s founder and chief investment strategist, Doug Fairclough. More than 75,000 ClearStation members currently receive Fairclough’s popular analysis via email under his online moniker, "kensey," upon free registration at www.clearstation.com.
According to ClearStation’s vice president of marketing and business development, Will Winkelstein, The Right Edge expands on the site’s "Three-Point" investment approach which encourages investors to integrate technical analysis with fundamental analysis and community discussion to make better trading decisions.
"ClearStation members spend an average three hours a month on our site evaluating, tracking and discussing stocks, but they’ve had to go elsewhere for financial news and commentary," said Winkelstein. "With the release of The Right Edge, they now have direct access to the most insightful and timely market coverage available on the Web."
