Logging On to Briefing.com
After selecting your desired content within your
subscription service, you will be presented with a login screen.
Enter your username and password.
Saving Your Password
Briefing.com automatically saves your password so that you won't
have to re-enter it each time you visit.
Note: For security purposes, do not choose this option if
you are on a shared or public computer. Uncheck the box under the login fields
if you do NOT want to save your password.
How to Log Out
We recommend that you exit your browser session by clicking
on the Log Out button, located near the top just to the
left of "Ticker Search".

This is a security feature designed for your protection and
for maintaining your privacy when you are away from your
computer. Also, Briefing.com restricts simultaneous logins
whether you are an Individual or Corporate subscriber.
Password Issues
If you cannot successfully login, your Briefing.com system
credential files or "Cookies" may be expired or could be
corrupted. Try the four troubleshooting options below:
1.) Find and Delete Briefing.com cookies
(Note: Choosing this option will erase your portfolio settings)
2.) Clear All Saved Passwords in Your Browser.
This can be done from the Internet Options
menu in Internet Explorer.

3.) Clear Your Browser's Cache
From the list below, please select the browser version and
manufacturer (you can find your browser's version number in the
Help menu, under About).

4.) Enabling cookies
For personalization and your convenience, cookies are
required on Briefing.com. Find out how to enable cookies on your
browser below:
- Internet Explorer 6.x
- In Internet Explorer, on the Tools
menu, click Internet Options.
- On the Privacy tab, click Advanced.
- Turn on Override automatic cookie handling.
- Make sure First-party Cookies is set to
Accept.
- Click OK.
- Internet Explorer 5.x
- In Internet Explorer, on the Tools
menu, click Internet Options.
- On the Security tab, make sure Internet
zone is selected.
- Click Custom Level.
- Scroll down to Override Automatic Cookie Handling.
- Make sure Accept Cookies is selected.
- Click OK.
- Internet Explorer 4.x
- Click Advanced
- Scroll down to the yellow exclamation icon under
Security and choose the
Enable Cookies option.
- Click OK.
- Mozilla FireFox
- Open your FireFox browser.
- Select Tools, then Options.
- At Privacy Menu, select Cookies and
make sure the checkmark is shown at Allow Sites to
Set Cookies.
- Select Exceptions button, add
www.briefing.com, select Allow and click on
OK.
- AOL 9.0
- Make sure that your computer clock is set to the correct
date.
- Close all but one AOL browser window.
- Click the Settings icon along the top of the AOL
application. In the window that opens, choose the View
Index tab and click on the Browser settings link.
- In the Temporary Internet Files section of the
'General' tab click the
Delete Cookies button, and then OK in the
confirmation pop-up (this will delete all cookies).
- In the same section of the 'General' tab, click on the
Delete Files button. In the window that opens, place a
checkmark in the Delete all offline content checkbox,
then OK.
- Within the same section of the 'General' tab, click on
the Settings button and select the Every visit to
the page radio button, then OK.
- In the 'Privacy' tab, click on the Advanced
button. In the window that opens, check the box next to
Override automatic cookie handling. Ensure the
First-party Cookies radio button is set to "Accept", then
OK.
- Select the 'AOL Browser' tab. In the TopSpeed - AOL
Web Browser Accelerator area, click on the Do not
store Web pages radio button. Click on the Apply button,
then OK to exit the Internet Properties applet.
- Close AOL completely. The changes will take effect when
you relaunch AOL.
- AOL 4.0+
- In AOL, on the Settings menu, click
Preferences.
- Under Organization click Internet
Properties (www).
- On the Privacy tab, click Advanced.
- Turn on Override automatic cookie handling.
- Make sure First-party Cookies is set to
Accept.
- Click OK.
- Netscape 7.x
- In Netscape, on the Edit menu, click
Preferences.
- Click the arrow next to Privacy & Security,
then select Cookies.
- Make sure Enable All Cookies is selected.
- Click OK.
- Netscape 6.x
- In Netscape, on the Edit menu, click
Preferences.
- Expand the Advanced selection, and then click
Cookies.
- Make sure Enable All Cookies is set to
Accept.
- Click OK.
- Netscape 4.x
- In Netscape, on the Edit menu, click
Preferences.
- Then click Advanced.
- Make sure Accept All Cookies is selected.
- Click OK.
If you have enabled your cookies and you are still not able to
access Briefing.com's content, you may need to configure your
firewall settings.
