Boeing (BA 67.76 -0.86) reported second quarter earnings of $1.06 per share, $0.05 better than the Thomson Reuters consensus of $1.01.
Revenues fell 9.2% year-over-year to $15.57 billion versus the $16.13 billion consensus.
For the fiscal year 2010, the company reaffirmed its prior guidance. Earnings was reaffirmed at $3.50 to $3.80 per share, worse than the $3.87 Thomson Reuters consensus. On the top line, revenues were reaffirmed at $64 billion to $66 billion, in-line with the $65.0 billion Thomson Reuters consensus.
BA continues to expect that 2011 revenue will be higher than 2010, primarily driven by projected 787 and 747-8 deliveries.
